National Relaxation Day seeks to promote stress relief by practicing relaxation. Relaxation is critical when it comes to managing stress. It can also lead to a calmer and clearer mind that can assist in concentration and positive thinking. National Relaxation Day is August 15th.
Reducing stress is very important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes we don’t even realise that we are feeling stressed but often the reasons for being short-tempered, irritable, depressed, anxious, indecisive, can all lead back to issues of underlying stress. Stress can affect us physically as well, with headaches, upset stomach, sleeplessness, tension in the neck, shoulders, face and/or jaw.
There are many things that we can do to reduce the stress in our lives. Massage, yoga, meditation, exercise, aromatherapy, spending time in places, and with people, you enjoy.
If you’ve never had a massage before, a chair massage is an easy, wonderful experience. You sit on a comfortable massage chair, you do not need to climb onto a table or remove clothing and no oils are used. We offer three 15 minute routines; the most popular covers the neck, upper back, lower back, arms and hands. There is also a head and face routine and a legs and feet routine. These routines are an excellent way to relieve built-up stress, relax the muscles and rid the body of harmful toxins. Massage increases blood circulation thereby providing more nutrient-rich blood to all parts of the body. People who get massages regularly are far less prone to illnesses as compared to those who don’t.
Chair massage can do wonders for your body, your mental state and your sense of well-being and happiness.
